Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Location: Columbus, OH | Salary: $85,000–$115,000+ base + bonus + profit sharing

Position Overview:

We’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of complex commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on role designed to prepare you for Project Management by giving you direct ownership of project coordination, client communication, and subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction projects from precon through closeout
• Support budgeting, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress tracking
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
• Communicate regularly with clients and consultants to maintain positive relationships
• Help ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence across all project phases

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction
• Experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, multi-family, or retail preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
