About this role: The Tech, Media & Telecom (TMT) Investment Banking group is seeking a Vice President, Business and Tech Services (BTS), to join its New York City office. The BTS team is focused on decision makers (C-suite, Board) and on building long-term client relationships, deepening those relationships through strategic advice, strong product knowledge and flawless deal execution.
In this role, you will: - The Vice President will be responsible for independently working with clients and handling complex transactions.
- A successful candidate will have well-developed knowledge of products and services, marketplace, and clients (ideally with familiarity of clients within Business and Tech Services). This position will be directly involved in the origination, structuring, and execution of Corporate and Investment Banking products and services for existing clients and prospects.
- The Vice President will assist in delivering the full range of products and services to clients through formulating financial strategy and policy with clients at the executive management level, managing client relationships, and executing mandated assignments in public and private equity, M&A, loan and high yield and convertible securities transactions.
- The position requires a high level of initiative and the ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. You must bring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Precise attention to detail is essential. You must demonstrate a habit of learning and mastering complex material and a practiced ability to communicate the same.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications - Investment banking experience
- Business and Tech Services experience within TMT
- Knowledge and understanding of M&A: public and private; origination and execution
- Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: debt and equity; origination and execution
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, modelling and valuation skills
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- A Master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Job Expectations - Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Pay Range: - Base pay range for this position in New York City is 250,000.00 USD
- May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
