The Position

We are seeking passionate technologists and communicators committed to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will confidently propose pragmatic solutions, learn from and educate others, and work autonomously in multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-tier products for millions of users.

Responsibilities include developing secure, maintainable code, participating in design and planning, and working on our Account Vertical focusing on security and fraud prevention technologies using Java, Python, Typescript (React), Terraform on AWS, and related tools.

The Game Plan

• Own team architecture, providing system-wide design guidance
• Write simple, extendable, and well-tested code
• Promote engineering best practices including security and operational excellence
• Address root causes of technical issues and influence cross-team decisions
• Mentor colleagues and document software clearly
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects effectively
• Contribute to team growth and knowledge sharing
• Stay updated with industry standards and open-source frameworks

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related, or equivalent experience; 7+ years relevant experience or 5+ years with MS
• Experience with scalable backend systems using Java/Python, relational/non-relational databases, messaging queues
• Knowledge of modern architectures, web frameworks (Typescript, React, Angular), cloud infrastructure (AWS), containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Strong testing, ownership, and adaptability in an Agile environment

The salary range for this role is $159,000 - $208,950 USD, dependent on experience and location, with additional benefits and incentives.
