We are looking for
ENERGETIC, OUTGOING, PART TIME coaches to lead Sports and Fitness classes for children, primarily ages 3-5 and 6-10, in the Phoenix-East Valley.
The Amazing Athletes coach is essential to our success as an organization. As the most visible aspect of the program, the coach represents what customers perceive our brand to be. Listed below are the duties assigned to the Amazing Athletes coach and requirements to successfully perform those duties.
Our coaches have the following qualities:
* UPBEAT, POSITIVE, ENERGETIC ATTITUDE
* Love of children
* Experience working with young children preferred (background checks required)
* Athletic background, either participating or coaching (preferred, but not required)
* Has own car with valid driver's license
* Willing to travel to program sites (e.g. preschools, daycares)
* Must be available to work flexible hours during weekday mornings and/or afternoons
Duties:
- Prepares for all classes by reviewing approved lesson plans.
- Arrives for and begins all classes on time.
- Properly instruct children in the use of our approved curriculum and equipment.
- Positively communicates with school directors and teachers regarding all aspects of Amazing Athletes classes. Monitors attendance of all registered children and insures they are present.
- Collects payment for classes (not in all cases).
- Wears approved uniform and presents a professional image.
- Communicates with parents both verbally and in writing as needed to report children's progress or difficulty. Adheres to all Amazing Athletes policies as outlined in the Operations Manual.
- Properly completes all requested paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provides advance notice or coverage for any foreseen absences.
- Provides own transportation with adequate auto insurance coverage.
- Brings all equipment necessary to execute weekly classes (equipment is provided to you).
Job Requirements:
- Successfully function as a member of a team.
- Must be neat and well groomed.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.
- Should be enthusiastic and pleasant in conversation.
- Must be able to communicate with customers ranging from young children to facility directors.
- Must be prompt, reliable, and able to work independently with no direct supervision.
- Should be able to follow very specific direction and routine.
- Takes initiative to solve problems.
- Should be flexible to work a variety of days and/or times of day.
- Should be creative in adapting to changing classroom variables.
- Have the ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills. Must be patient and have a desire to work with children.
- Display an energetic demeanor and smile.
- Possess an understanding of basic customer service skills.
- Only need part-time employment.
We are looking to fill UP TO 6 hours per week across the late afternoons Specific days/times listed below.
- Monday Afternoons: 3pm-4pm
- Tuesday Afternoons: 2:30pm-3:30pm OR 3:15pm-4:15pm
- Wednesday Afternoons: 2:30pm-4:30pm OR 3:30pm-4:30pm
- Thursday Afternoons: 3pm-4pm OR 3:30pm-4:30pm
- Friday Afternoons: 3pm-4pm OR 3:30pm-4:30pm
Pay based on experience.
Compensacin: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
JumpBunch of Phoenix - East Valley About Amazing Athletes, JumpBunch, Karate Zoo, Little Rookies and Soccer Stars The largest multi-sport enrichment programs in the country, designed for children ages 1-12 years old to have fun through positive movement experiences, with a focus on meeting their motor-development milestones. Instructors teach the fundamentals of different sports in a non-competitive environment, while also incorporating lessons about nutrition and muscle groups to enhance motor skills and physical literacy.
Have Fun at Work! Across 32 states and internationally, our classes are offered at pre-schools, daycare centers, churches, community centers, parks, and more. Our weekly sports lessons consist of soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball, golf, and much more! Obstacle courses, along with speed and agility training, are all part of the fun!
Amazing Athletes programs include Amazing Tots (18mo - 2.5 years), the classic Amazing Athletes curriculum (2.5 - 6 years), and Amazing Athletes P.E. (ages 5-12). Take part in classes, camps, private groups, school enrichment, birthday parties, and more!
The Amazing Athletes JumpBunch program gets children moving with an unmatched variety of 70+ sports, activities, and fitness-based games in a fun, friendly & non-competitive learning environment. JumpBunch is a P.E. class for ages 18 months-12 years. Take part in camps, private groups, school enrichment, birthday parties and more!
Karate Zoo is for ages 3-6. It is inspired by the traditions & practices of martial arts and is designed to benefit a child's physical, social & emotional development while building confidence & teaching practical life lessons. Take part in camps, private groups, school enrichment, birthday parties and more!
In Little Rookies, we go beyond the game to instill a love for baseball in young players. Our focus is on teaching the fundamentals in an all-inclusive and encouraging atmosphere. Programs include Parent & Me (ages 2-3), Minors (ages 3-5) and Majors (ages 6-10). Take part in classes, camps, school enrichment, birthday parties and more!
Soccer Stars' crib-to-college player pathway includes a Parent & Me pre-soccer movement program starting at 12 months, the original FUN with FUNdamentals Super Soccer Stars program, and an advanced development and competitive play program with Soccer Stars United, up to U18. Take part in classes, camps, private groups, afterschool enrichment, birthday parties, team training, and more!
Community Sports are an integral part of any community. Often, our programs will be a child's first experience with an organized physical activity. It is our obligation to provide a fun and memorable experience where kids can thrive being active.
