Here, “impossible” isn’t part of our vocabulary. You’ll face some of the toughest but most rewarding challenges of your career. They’re worth it. Channeling your inner grit will accelerate your growth, help us win as a team, and create unforgettable moments for our customers.

The Crown Is Yours

As Counsel on our Corporate Legal team, you’ll be at the forefront of DraftKings’ most critical public company work. From SEC filings to governance and equity matters, you’ll drive high-impact initiatives that shape how we show up to investors, regulators, and the public. This is a high-profile, high-visibility role where you’ll work directly with senior leadership and investor relations to ensure our disclosures are clear, compliant, and best-in-class—helping DraftKings maintain trust and transparency as we grow.

What you’ll do as Corporate Counsel
  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy Statements, Section 16 filings, and registration statements as well as other disclosure documents.

  • Provide legal support for the Board of Directors and committee meetings, including preparation of materials and minutes.

  • Help manage the Company’s Insider Trading Policy, 10b5-1 plans, and related employee and director equity matters.

  • Support legal preparation for the Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

  • Support the Disclosure Committee and assist with internal disclosure processes and documentation.

  • Provide legal support to the Equity Administration team, including managing securities law requirements and preparing equity plan documents.

  • Partner with Investor Relations and senior leadership on public company communications and disclosure matters.

  • Collaborate with Internal Audit on SOX compliance activities.

  • Contribute to legal support for M&A transactions and related commercial agreements.

What you’ll bring
  • At least 4 years of experience at a top law firm or corporate law department with a national or international presence, specifically in securities law, SEC reporting, and corporate governance.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials; must be an active member in good standing of a U.S. state bar.

  • Knowledge of public company financial reporting rules and regulations relevant to securities law.

  • Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively across teams.
