Join Our Team as an Audiologist!

Are you passionate about helping others hear and communicate better? As an Audiologist , you will play a vital role in transforming lives through audiology and amplification treatments. Your expertise will help patients regain their hearing abilities and lead fulfilling lives, even in the face of challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive case histories from patients and their families.
• Conduct thorough otoscopic examinations and refer to physicians as needed.
• Perform a variety of hearing tests, including evaluations for adults and infants.
• Document all audiology treatments and assessments promptly and accurately.
• Interpret test results and provide clear diagnostic impressions.
• Offer counseling to patients and families about the impacts of hearing impairments.
• Adjust hearing aid settings for optimal patient benefit and provide education on usage.
• Assist in scheduling patient visits for evaluations and treatments.
• Calibrate equipment according to established procedures.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Adhere to departmental policies and maintain professional standards.
• Ensure patient safety and minimize healthcare errors in all care aspects.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders.
• Proficiency in NOAH hearing aid software and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders.
• Strong 4th year AuD candidates may also be considered.

Licensure and Certification

Required:

• New York State license in audiology (or to be obtained within 12 months).
• New York State registration as a Hearing Aid Dispenser (or to be obtained within 12 months).
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred:

• Eligibility for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in audiology from ASHA.
