Description Meadowbrook Country Club in Ballwin, MO is one of the top private country club in the St. Louis area with a full range of services including golf, dining, banquet, tennis, fitness, pool and more. Currently, we have full-time and part-time openings for food and beverage service staff to work in our dining rooms and patio, as well as banquet facilities.
Ideal candidates will have previous food and beverage service experience, preferably in a country club, restaurant or hotel. You must be comfortable working in an often fast-paced environment, enjoy engaging with members, be a part of the team, and possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. We're looking for energized, passionate, and driven individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Greet all members and their guests to arrive with a friendly and warm demeanor, using their name.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the food and beverage menus.
- Ensure that food and drink orders are accurately input into the POS system.
- Efficiently serve food and drinks according to proper standards.
- Responsible for clearing dishes from tables, always making sure the table is kept tidy.
- Responsible for making sure that all workspaces are kept clean and organized at all times.
- Responsible for the day-to-day setup of dining operations.
- Perform appropriate clean-up and all closing duties.
- Collaborate effectively and respectfully with peers, in both front of house and back of the house, to ensure an outstanding member & staff experience.
- Maintain a clean personal appearance at all times, following approved policies in the Employee Handbook.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: - May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including a loaded tray.
- Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- If assigned to work the patio, must be able to work in hot weather.
- Must be capable of receiving constructive feedback and instructions.
Compensation :
Meadowbrook Country Club offers a competitive hourly wage, where staff can earn an average of $14 - $20 per hour based on prior experience. A signing bonus is applicable to those that complete training and 90 day introductory period. Full-time positions include benefits, such as, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid time off, employee meals, employee golf on Monday, and many others.
Schedule :
General work week is Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner service. Occasionally the work week includes Monday or Tuesday when special events are scheduled. The club is open on all holiday except Christmas and New Year's Day. Full-time positions will work 35+ hours per week and part-time positions will work based on candidates availability and the club's business.
